Tour Final set to be live streamed
AA Website

Australia’s World Championship Sports Network (WCSN) in-conjuction with Athletics Australia are pleased to announce that the Go For 2&5 Perth event of the 2011 Australian Athletics Tour will be streamed live and free from the WA Athletics Centre on Friday April 1st.

This upcoming meet represents the conclusion of what has already been a wonderfully successful tour for the organisers, the domestic athletes, international visitors and Australian athletics fans.

WCSN’s exclusively live online coverage of the IAAF Melbourne Track Classic and the Sydney Track Classic were viewed by thousands of athletics fans completely free.

“Live streaming is the way of the future and we are excited to be a part of it, it’s a great opportunity for athletics to be seen in a developing market and it provides fans of the sport the chance to enjoy the action as if they were at the meet.” Dallas O’Brien, Athletics Australia Chief Executive, said.

“WCSN is delighted to be working closely with the team at Athletics Australia to stream live the Australian Athletics Tour for the very first time to a passionate Athletics community. This is consistent with WCSN’s goal to provide exclusive seasonal coverage during the intervening periods of the Olympic Games both at domestic and international levels” said Jon Field, Executive Director WCSN.

WCSN will also be adding highlights of the entire 2011 Australian Athletics Tour to their website ( and their official YouTube channel (wcsnsportstv) so that the events can be enjoyed on demand.
