Due to popular demand NSB’s week in review is back > bigger & badder than ever(badder is not an actual word)

The penultimate SAAL meet takes place this weekend at the Pulteney Ovals in central Adelaide.
With the excitement of the Grand Prix in Melbourne, the AFL season openers & Cricket World cup some would be forgiven for not giving their full attention to this round of racing…but not me….well actually in all truth, I will be at the G Friday night & Grand Prix over the weekend.

Please find below the 70m Open top 8 with expert commentary from my team of tipping masterminds, colourful insight & the newly added analysis of what makes them tick.

1. Grimwade – highly regarded frontmarker veteran who came oh so close at Flagstaff. Has bagged me on this forum in the past so will be kind…just this once
What makes him tick – baggy jeans

2. Dartnall – Loxton win & a very competitive runner for most of the season. Should come very close.
What makes him tick – Arnotts ginger nut biscuits

3. Hodge – Dual winner at Flagstaff & should follow on the form at Pulteney.
What makes him tick – Crickets & unshaven females

4. Saliu Ali - Close at the bay over 70m & won at TTG over the same distance. Consistent season for an old boy.
What makes him tick – Men that have long hair over 40 & fully grown men who pull the socks up during running races.

5. Taylor – Made every 70m final he has entered this season & on that form you would expect another final appearance. Also; he has tickets on himself.
What makes him tick – not twitching fast enough on you tube

6. Palmer – Big Camden win & running well & has done so all season.
What makes him tick – Personalised number plates

7. Letton – Probably waiting for Stawell as suggested elsewhere but would expect a final from this class athlete & dual Loxton winner.
What makes him tick – left hanging when going for a high five

8. Cibich – Big, young & fast.
What makes him tick – Girls that dress slutty but don’t put out

Quote of the week
A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.

10 I'm getting excited. on Thu Mar 24, 2011 2:19 pm

Feeling frustrated following failure in the furiously fast $500 first prize final of the over45s 400m at Flagstaff a fortnight ago, I am ready to do battle again in my favourite distance the 200m.

Back in January at Tea Tree Gully, I won the over45s 200m off 34m.

Now with my wins at Loxton and Hectorville, the handicapper has hit me hard with a mark of 28m, so I have to run 6m further than at TTG.

And it is "sudden death" on Sunday, with only the winners from the heats making it through to the final.

I'm getting excited.

Hope to see lots of people there at this fun healthy open air family friendly free event.

As always, best wishes and love and gratitude to the SA Athletic League volunteers and staff and clubs and athletes and supporters.

I love seeing the pants of an excited STOKESY burning around the 200! For anyone interested the answer is yes. He is well equiped in that area.

STOKESY can you give the double fisted pump action towards the crowd. It fires me up for my race

Thanks for the wrap NSB, definitely out to go back to back in 200m o35s, and make it a double with the 70m I never bagged you tho...did I? and baggy jeans dont make me tick, hotties in hipster jeans on the other hand

Any results for Pulteney please?

I wasn't at the meet as Western District was rostered on to help out at SANTOS yesterday.

From what I've been told:

Brad Schutz won the 70m Open.

Tegan Kustermann won the women's 200m.

Ali Trewartha won the women's 70m.

Michael Nitschke won the 400m Open.

If someone could kindly add to this list, it would be much appreciated.
