Consistent results in the gift. 2nd, 3rd and 4th at Ballarat have run 1,2,3 at Keilor.

Great to see the Keilor Gift back by the way. Always a highlight of the VAL season.

Based on the evidence the last two weeks Rupert Lugo is a slightly better athlete when he's been on the piss the night before. Last week he ran 2nd after Hey Hey's startling revelation that he was drunk, with Matt Harvey 3rd.

This week he met Harvey better off by 0.25m, rocked up after a night of drinking green tea and lemonade while playing board games with his grandmother then early to bed....and he couldn't catch Matt Harvey.

Sink a few pots on Friday Rupert and an Avondale Heights sash is there for the taking.

By the way, did anyone else wonder if it was Luke Houlihan's birthday on Saturday? I didn't see the sash but did it have "Won by Luke Houlihan" already printed on it? 1.5m in the skins? Getting a start off blokes he gives a start to in the gift? Wearing the Pink? It was basically the equivalent of a 'gimme' in golf. When he collected hs colour they should have given him the sash. He could have worn both while he ran. Quite amazing.

Hey youngy, any chance you got footage of the Keilor races?

No, I didn't have the camera with me. Caught the plane. Only had carry on luggage.

I'll be driving to Bendigo, so I'll bring the camera and the tripod. Shocked

Harvey now has two very good gift wins under his belt in Bendigo and Keilor. If he can take another win at Ballarat, Maryborough, Wangaratta or Rye it is a very good looking resume. He works hard and I am happy to see him win.
