How on earth has Cam Dunbar managed to get a mark of 2mt in the vets race this week at Frankston? His mark was 1 at yarra ranges gift last season and then wins the Ararat gift which attracts a automatic penalty of 2mt in the veterans class.  It looks like every other vet has copped the pull except for Cam. Not to mention a 1mt lift on top of that.  Surely someone is reviewing these marks or did the rules change last year ???

If you are worried about Dunbar you should be worried about Khan Marr. At Maryborough Marr was only giving him 2.25 in the masters yet he gives him 4.75m in the gift.

Good luck to everybody else then. It’s up to Ince to hold him out

Thanks for your support FortySevenThirty.
I’ll try to remember to thank you in the victory speech on Sunday, whilst dodging your bullets coming from the grandstand # sniper

I am not sure this was even worth posting about. Dunbar has been one of the most scrutinized athletes of all time. I remember when he first started running he was already being watched by all of us like a hawk. Without the older athletes some of the carnivals will fall down so let the likes of Dunbar get a win, I am sure he will continue to support our sport.

It’s not a dig at Cam in any way at all. He is a fantastic athlete and you wouldn’t find a runner that has supported the sport as much as him but if other vets cop a pull in the vets for winning an Open Gift the same should apply to all you would think. Nothing to do with Cam he only runs off the mark he is given. I suppose it is that word discretion that has come into play again. I won’t be firing any shots from the cheap seats when he wins a vets so no need for the bullet proof vest Cam. Good luck to you
