Started work on the 2017 Bay Sheffield Form Guide. Working my way through the field in terms of an athletes', age, coach, where they're from and recent performances.

I was looking at recent results in Queensland for guys like Tjimarri, Caldow & Mitch Williams.

Came across an interesting first time Bay Sheff entry in Connor Diffey from Queensland.

Recently ran 21.42sec for 200m (18/11/17) beating national level athletes Alex Beck, Craig Burns and Mitchell Williams-Swain.

Then ran 10.72 (100m) and 21.08 (200m) behind Stawell Gift finalist Michael Romanin (10.56 & 20.96) on the weekend.

Exciting talent and looks a top Sheffield type.

From yesterday's Terang Gift - five of the finalists are entered for the Bay Sheffield.

2nd Mason Keast (9.0m) 13.05s
4th Dion Paull (9.50m) 13.12s
5th Rupert Lugo (10.25m) 13.150s
6th Matt Burleigh (8.75m) 13.154s
8th Jason Bailey (9.25m) 13.28s

Mason Keast (6.0m) won the 70m in 7.96s with Luke Houlihan (4.25m) 3rd in 8.088s and John Evans (4.0m) 4th in 8.092s.

Feel the rhythm, feel the rhyme
Get On Up
It’s Bay Sheff Time.

Here's a taste of the 2017 Bay Sheff form guide - I won't say the name, keep it a mystery.
____________________________________________________________
Recent form is not flash but hasn’t been for a while. Finished down the track in the Terang 70m and scratched from the Gift as well as Northcote and Ararat. Ran 3rd in his semi last year (12.87s off 8.75m). Could surprise but hard to recommend on what he’s done lately. Reminds me of the centipede who turned up one day and won the 400m easily. When asked why he didn’t the run Gift, he said “I was still getting my spikes on”.

Third oldest athlete in the field yet probably the most inexperienced. No form of note. Has as much chance of making the semi-finals as Michael Jordan has of making a 3-point shot from mid court with a bowling ball.
__________________________________________________________
Won 2 sashes on debut at Tea Tree Gully and looked to have a bright future. However he’s scratched from his last 14 entries. Last competed at Henley 2 years ago when he was a gift semi-finalist. I can only assume he is injured. If he won the Bay on that prep, I’d give up the sport, learn the fiddle, move to Alabama, find a bar and play the tunes from Deliverance.

Thanks Untouchables. Never get tired of watching Sally blast away like this.

Still on the bloody form guide. Probably about 15 to 20 hours of work.... Rolling Eyes
