1 Three Day Bay Sheffield Carnival? on Thu Jun 15, 2017 4:01 pm

There's some discussion regarding a three day Bay Sheffield carnival. Under consideration is the first day being Boxing Day for maybe a couple of hours of heats  just to allow the shortening up of the 2nd and 3rd main days.

If it was to happen it would be a mid/late afternoon session to allow interstate athletes time to arrive for their heat(s).

If anyone has any issues or concerns they should contact the SAAL office.

I'm only posting it now, before it is set in concrete, so interstate athletes can consider organising their travel around a mid afternoon Boxing Day session.

Not a big fan of this to be honest.

Or they could reduce the time between heats back to 3 minutes for every race other than the men's and women's Bay Shef. If they don't want to do that then a mid afternoon start on Boxing day makes sense.
