once again i ask the question of consistency by the handicapper.the winner of ringwood 1600m
has gone out 40m after 3 runs (150-190) other runners cant get a lift after 3 runs.the 3200m and 1600m marks are so different its unreal.

The 3200m and 1600m marks should be totally different. You have been around long enough to understand this. More races in the 1600m means more lifts and more pulls for winning. The two cannot be the same.

Craig Harris ran off 190m prior to Ringwood. If there was an issue it should have been raised then not after he has won.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, we are all right after the fact.

you obviously dont run the distance races mex other wise you would understand that if 3 runners start within 25m of each other in 1600m then in 3200m surely there shouldnt be a 200m difference, as i stated consistency for all runners.

No I do not nor have I ever run the 1600m or 3200m and am too old to be able to compete again, but you are wrong. There are more 1600m races so more chances for lifts or a win and a subsequent pull. The 3200m marks should be based off their competing in the 3200m. In the guidelines it says clearly that it is treated by the handicapper as a "stand alone event". The 1600m mark will be used as a guide but will not be the single determining factor if the mark. Go back to the guidelines, page 27 should be a good starting point for you.

jknott123 if what you are saying was true then yes I would say that you were correct.

However I cannot see were runners who are 25M apart in the 1600 are 200M apart in the 3200, so I can only conclude that the accusation you have made is incorrect. Happy to be proven wrong with some real evidence but sorry I have been thhrough it and I do not see it.
