Hello runners
A serious moment here;
After reviewing my post on the protrack forum from the last few days I wish
to make an apology to all those I have offended. I would also like to
apologize to the sport in general, to a sport that I have been involved in
for many years and have countless great memories. Upon reading the posts my
sarcasm and flippancy is certainly not worthy of the role of chief steward
nor the life membership which I am honored to have. The difference of
opinion between POD and myself should not be aired on an open forum, so I
certainly forward that apology to Peter.
Good Luck and hope to see you all on Sunday

Good on you Mara although it must be hard to feel like you are unable to reply. I have been wanting tougher stewarding and now that we are seeing it some are not happy. I guess you can never please some people. Some of the earlier things you were putting up was very helpful and I hope that you continue this side of things.

You haven't offended me Mara, I like Mex have welcomed the harder stance on the inconsistenceys of athletes performances this season. Sometimes you need to except the umpires decision no matter what you think of it and wear it. I will still have a Zooper Dooper with you mate.

I commend Brian for his apology and admire his courage in doing so, in what has been a turbulent and difficult period.

I don’t believe that tougher Stewarding is the answer. The purpose of Stewarding is to assist in accurate handicapping of athletes. We are about growing our sport and participation, especially women and juniors.
