So far about 20 votes to SA athletes and 33 to interstate athletes. Appears to be a strong interstate contingent with big claims to the title, naturally enough for the first $20k Womens Bay Sheffield. QLD, WA & Victoria could have athletes in the final.

Kiara Reddingius
Kirsty Stevens
Viney
Payne
Lane
Sarah Blizzard

This how i see it

Winner Jessica Payne 7.25 m stands out in the crowd in her bright colours. Coached by SAAL Hall of Famer Shane Mackenzie. She should do well providing she doesn,t  break net time.Has been a bridesmaid many a time  .Should be a great Final.

Another one to watch out for is Kirsty Stevens sister to Luke both Luke and Kirsty are red hot with Kirsty making many Finals last Year  not sure about the Handicap as good as she is i think it is unfair giving her 10.00 she should be back around 6.5 .May know a Handicapper nether the less watch out for her .

Lynette Viney 4.75 m another quality athlete with many wins under her belt .Will run well and may very well suprise a few people .Can pull out stops when required .

Kiara Reddingius 4.50 m  has got the goods a real chance good luck to her

Sarah Blizzard 5.00 m Sensational runner up there with best of them knows what its about.  A real chance and should be in the top 3. Has proven herself many times and will not disappoint her squad .A quality Pro athlete

Dont know much about the other Girls but either way it will be a cracking Final  Good luck girls

I would not be surprised to see Stevens final and go close. Only one vote for her so far. Lane was very good at Northcote but a few didn't go. 'Feel the' Payne should be in the mix too. Three from Vic that could be thereabouts.

Like the Open, I think the Women's Bay Sheffield will be dominated by interstate athletes. The strength of the interstate contingent is the best it's ever been. There is some seriously talented athletes coming from WA, Victoria, NSWAL and of course the Qld backmarker.

I think there are only two SA girls who are likely to make the final. I have a couple more around the top 10 but the interstate girls just look like they are better positioned in terms of marks, PB's and other results.

The seeding of the semis could make a difference to how many SA girls get into the final because I suspect a few will record times in the top 10 fastest from the heats and there could be only hundredths of a second separating them.

If Jessica Payne can maintain her current AV PB's form (12.22 100m, 25.00 200m) off 7.25m she will win clearly.

On results, Round has to beat Mittiga. I cant see Mittiga winning after Round thrashed her at Brighton. if the Gross plan was to poach Round to to play second fiddle to his chick, for a bay tilt then Round/Cavouras have been played like a piano. If Mittiga wins, Round should be asking questions.

After reading racingmania's post, I thought he was being mischievous.  Then I went back and had a look at the footage. Very interesting dynamic after these three stablemates crossed the line in the Brighton 120m final.

What that photo says to me is Mittiga is definitely one to look out for at the Bay!! She will be in the mix for sure

Whispers thinks Round is a false favourite and where ever Round finishes she will be behind the Coaches girl.

Punters were pretty close to the mark with Women's Bay Sheff winner Jessica Payne the top pick (10 votes).

Runner-up Patricia Taea was the surprise packet with no votes. The WA finalist Kiara Reddingius didn't receive any votes either.

9 votes for 4th placed backmarker Toia Wisil.

The top vote getters for SA received 4 votes each - finalists Mikayla Round and Kate Monks. And Molly Farmer and Amie Mittiga who ran 2nd in their respective semi finals.

The highest non-finalist vote getters was the Kobi Evans/Julia Phillips Lane pairing with 9 votes.
