1 From the minutes of the ACC AGM. on Mon Sep 19, 2016 7:06 pm

National competition-

Brendan Golden, Andrew Mcmanus and Tom Burbidge all spoke about the talks continuing between VAL and SAAL.
Brendan advised that a national approach for sponsorship , government recognition and other common matters was the best way to go.
Brendan advised that the concept of having a paid secretary in each State was a long term project . As we have the product that appeals to people we should be selling it .He felt the way to start was to have a common under age category for all to start to increase participation and he suggested, under 18 and under 14,over 18 move to Open or Novice.
Brendan handed each State a paper supporting his ideas.
All States agreed with the principle and supported the VAL and SAAL continuing to talk and investigate the best way to bring all into line .
It was decided that each State nominates a person to be the spokesman for their State in regard to ongoing talks and that person would be kept informed of progress.

Great work BG and Billy McM. This has been discussed a lot over the last 10 years and it is good to see that some progress might finally be made towards making it a reality. Imagine a National Handicap system, co-ordinated marketing/promotion, event scheduling, sharing of resources, etc. Keep pushing!
