New South Wales Athletic League Update   :

The New South Wales Athletics League inc (‘NSWAL’) is an incorporated
Association and is the governing body of professional athletics in NSW & ACT.
The NSWAL provides the following information to those involved in professional athletics.
Since 2014/2015 we have had a service agreement with Andrew Muhlhan trading as NSW Professional Track League(NSWPTL},recently incorporated as NSW Professional Track League Pty Ltd, to undertake logistic functions on behalf of the NSWAL .Those functions included Maintaining a website and increasing registrations.

On Tuesday 30th August 2016 the aforementioned Service Agreement was formally terminated by Andrew Muhlhan  NSWPTL . As this outcome may affect the future of our website and our registration processes, registrations for 2016/2017 should not be made on line until further notice from the NSWAL Please be advised that participation in unregistered carnivals could result in national suspension.

However, the New South Wales Athletics League would also like to advise that the 2016 Queanbeyan Gift meet will be a one day carnival on Saturday 26th November with Prizemoney of $30,000. Macksville Saturday 12th  November ,  Merimbula Saturday 7th January and Cowra Sunday 26th February have also been confirmed. Further details of  Pro – Am meets with ANSW will be advised by September  ,

What a disgusting way for the NSWAL to treat athletes. To threaten to suspend them from competing anywhere in the country just for competing in athletics events shows how out of touch the leaders of this league really are and demonstrates why they are the joke of the State-based leagues.

Given how poorly the sport in NSW is attended, one would think that the President should be encouraging participation. Instead, Bill chooses to clearly let personal differences influence an athlete's ability to participate.

Furthermore, I look forward to seeing any evidence that Bill has the authority to ban an athlete nationally. Bill is welcome to produce documentation to show that athlete's are answerable to the Beck and Call of Sir Bill. I've looked through the documentation for athlete's signing up to the VAL and cannot find any clause granting the President of the NSWAL the right to ban Victorian athletes.
