If I was a bookie I'd have O'Farrell on tight odds. He is in 3 of the miles and will win one of them.

A poll has been created for the Herb Hedemann, let's see what the voting shows.

Dizzy, you always seem to miss the Hippo runners. I’ll give you a further hand (and probably still miss the stable goers).
Last year the backies mile winner Robinson came 17th at Stonnington. This year 17th at Stonnington was Sven Richter. That night he finished 7 secs behind 2nd place Deane. At Bendigo he finished strong and only a lip behind the winner Deane. Right form at the right time.
The eye catcher at Stonnington was Bacalja. He started on the same mark as the winner Clayton but let him go early before cracking out a solid final 2 laps. Was this for the mile or a little time trial for the 800 at Stawell on Monday. His 1000m at Geelong was impressive.
Am I close to the mark?
Does anyone else have some input on the 1600m races?
