One of my favourites for sure. Keilor was missed by many when it had a small hiatus. Huge entries for the gift, shows why the open gift is so hard to win, especially ones with some history attached to it. Decent prize money helps too. The day after Stonnington may prove to be a battle of attrition. Who do we like? Some former Stawell finalist have some very handy marks again.

Based on what has been outlined on here - you can scrap Marr from your Keilor plans if he runs on the Friday night at Stonnington - as he wont recover on the short backup overnight.

Cam Dunbar only in the gift. Unusual for Cam not to enter the 70 and Gift on same day.

Notable absentees of gift athletes from Keilor-
last years winner Luke Stevens, N Riali, J Vine, I Otung, D Dobric, S Rooke, L Shepherd, N Repalust, D Whittaker.

Surely after cams poor performance at Trinity,he couldn't get up to win Keilor! Actually he will probably win and then get a lift haha

Wow Hollywood/Sniper (or whoever you want to be known as), you clearly have an issue with me beyond my alleged poor performance on the weekend - two accusatory comments in one day with a total of 3 posts over your 4 years as a member.

It was disappointing not to win @ Trinity, let alone miss the Gift final by one timed placing on the weekend. If you are suggesting that the steward/ handicapping panel are operating outside the V.A.L rules to provide me with an unfair advantage over the competition; nothing could be further from the truth.

I agree that everyone can share their opinion about the goings on of pro running on this forum but I suggest you approach it with a little more tact.
Even better please come and have a chat with me at any meeting about what you think of my running ability, efforts etc rather than publicly having cheap shots at me on this forum behind the cover of anonymity.

Well I look forward to seeing how Keilor plays out. Should be a cracking final. Hicks to win after his performance here last year ,going to be very close

I have it looking something like this:

Paul Tancredi 6 - can he make it 3 times?
Ryan Mcnamara 6.75 - if he doesn't win on Friday at Stonnington, will win here!
Edward Ware 7.5 - will collect a pay cheque, nothing more.
Cam Dunbar 8 - has a .25m lift and the form to boot!
Dion Paull 8.5 - in form and good to go. Will he though? Or hold of for a shot at the chocolate bunny?!
DANIEL STEINHAUSER 8.5 - wouldn't surprise anyone if he wins, I suspect he'll wait though.
Matthew Harvey 10.25 - starting to look really good now and this one is well within his reach. My choice for the one who'll be eating a chicken dinner on Saturday night.
Mark Highest 10.75 - pulled out of the Rye final hurt, I suspect he was preferring Ballarat, but now me thinks either one on this weekend.

Harvey to win!

Next in will be
Noddy Angelakos 9.5 - 2m less, though I won't count him out until I've seen him run.
Craig Foley 12.5 - likely to cramp in the heat, or semi, or final. I'd he doesn't though, off 12.5, he could definitely go close!!

Downesy

Not getting into any of this banter, so far as to say that Cam is one of (if not the) most consistent, hard racing, honest athletes on the VAL circuit. I have no idea what so ever how he could be looked upon as anything but. I guarantee that there wouldn't be many runners who race as much, week in, week out, and support the VAL circuit as much as he always does.

That's all.
