Downesy

I would personally like to thank and commend the Yarra Ranges Gift committee, and in particular, Shane McKenzie, for an excellent Gift meeting on Sunday.

It was a fantastic day of organisation and racing. The track was great, as were all of the associated facilities. This meeting was organised with quite short notice, (compared to the other meetings on the circuit), and was a great addition to our season, due to the loss of the Warragul Gift, on the same day.

This meeting was organised by Shane and the committee for the sole purpose of giving the athletes a replacement meeting from Warragul, and for that, I'm sure we are all very appreciative.

Whether it is a one off meeting, or has the desire to attempt to fit in to the 2016/17 VAL season, remains to be seen.

Thanks again Shane, and kudos to you.
