A huge weekend of racing with interest in both the 100m races to see who wants the extra yardage and some big prize money for the 300m, 400m and 550m for both women and men. When Shane announced the inclusion of the Yarra Ranges Gift I was a little concerned that the numbers may be affected for Ringwood. I am happy to admit that I was wrong on that count.
Ringwood has been around a while now and the 400m is probably third on my list of 400m races available in Victoria with good prize money and some history attached to it. I am hoping that Shane et al will be able to continue the Yarra Ranges Gift as it provides another avenue for athletes to win over varying distances for good money and of course this will continue to build as well. Winning an inaugural race is always great, as long as they stay around.
Happy running tomorrow, and over the coming weekend. I can't wait for Ballarat either! What a good time to be an athlete in Victoria.

Huge effort putting the polls together Mex, thanks!

Wang showed that a few are starting to do the business over the quarters, so the 400m at Ringwood and the 300m at Yarra Ranges cold very well produce some of the hottest contests so far this season.

With final numbers for Yarra Ranges at 604, it's a very big card! We will endeavour to get through it as efficiently as we can and hope that it runs like clockwork

I will have the program posted sometime in the next 24 hours for download.
