I was listening to a Sports show on the radio yesterday and the announcers were going through all the players who got delisted from their AFL clubs.
They came to Majak Daw who has been delisted and said that it was more than likely that he would be selected on to the Kangaroos Rookie list.
Another Announcer said he should take up athletics because of the ease of his Grand Final Sprint win.
The ordinary opposition he beat that day made him look like a superstar.
Which begs the question ?
Has he ever tried athletics.
Has he ever been coached in athletics.
Has he a pb for 100m
May be worth a Coach to go knocking on his door.
But guess he would make more money being on a Rookie list than being involved in athletics.
Maybe Daw for Stawell 2016:lol:

I spoke to Daw a few years ago when he first arrived and turned up on our track and i was sprint coach at werribee. He said at the time he wanted to be a runner before he found football.I didn't take it any further knowing its like beating your head on a brick wall trying to deal with league footballers these days.

Won the gf sprint in 11.1. If he trimmed down and got half serious could be anything

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the times they run. Can't be certain if the track is 100% correct distance and the timing is in any way accurate. Afterall Patrick Dangerfield from Adelaide supposedly race 10.84 in 2012 according to the TV timer. I highly doubt any football player in Australia would run anywhere near that time. So I'd take the times with a pinch of salt.

I think Mangar Makur Chuot has a lot more potential than Majak Daw ever will. With regards to commentators they are delusional. I always cringe when I have to listen to Bruce McAvaney jizzing his pants talking about how 'elite' AFL players are. According to Bruce Isaac Smith could be a 400m Olympian because he's "such a glider" and Shane Crawford would've been an 800m Olympian if he'd chosen to.
