1 Older runners making open finals on Wed Jan 21, 2015 8:23 pm

John LeRay

At the recent Marion meet in SA, Peter Biggs made the Open 120m Gift Final ( Winners only to final, no Semi's) Peter is 50 years young and has only been in the sport for 3 years and did not podium, but was not discraced.
I recall in SA, Jeff Bassista  (not sure of correct spelling) at 37 - 38 years making open finals on a regular  basis about 10-12 years ago.
Is there a history of 50 year olds making finals in our sport ?

I believe that a 70+ year old won a WA gift recently.
