The Daylesford gift is also available now for voting. Who is going to take out the gift up the hill?

Well the voting suggests that 6 possible chances (Eschebach, Eddy, Dobric, Little and Rogers/Rosen) however I am not sure that they will all run. Given the weather conditions and the relatively small event, I think that a few of the big boys will give this one a miss and wait for the bigger events over the next two months or so.

Eschebach 5.75m (6 votes) - Should win this if he tries/wants to. He showed at Maryborough that he is around the mark and probably had a little in the tank. I think I saw a fluffy tail wagging behind him as he ran. Better odds of a no-show than a win I would think.

Eddy 7m (8 votes) - Maryborough was a great event and a well deserved win for Eddy. He would be right in this should he turn up. He might give this one a miss.

Dobric 8.25m (10 votes) - Has looked good so far this year without taking that next step. Is it possible that his training partner was unable to beat him? He might miss too.

Little 9.5m (16 votes and poll favourite) - Is capable of winning a gift this year, is Daylesford the one? May have his sights set on a bigger one.

Rogers 11.25m / Rosen 11.75m (13 votes) - Rogers hasn't showed much over the gift distance and with Rosen receiving many votes this year the majority of the votes are probably for him. Rosen's 200m at Maryborough was not as good as his VRTA run. He must be waiting for something but I am not sure he knows what that is.

Looking at the entry list, I would think an outmarker, possibly a 'masters' athlete will take this one up the hill. Unless there is another NSW athlete with a handy mark that wants to take home something for the trip.

Good luck

His 400m final was a bit strange though at Maryborough. Injured? A veteran is a good chance though.

Actually I am not waiting for anything Mex. I want to get better and I want to win every time I run.
