1 Queanbeyan Womens 120m Gift on Tue Nov 18, 2014 3:05 pm

Just trying to work out how last years winner ( Maddie Coates) only recieves a 1.25metre pull to her handicap in the womens gift, but last years men's gift winner (Angus Gould) has recieved a 2.5metre pull.

Surely we need to see some consistancy here?

The mandatory penalty for qbn winner in 2013 was 2m so plain and simple the mark is wrong. Richest female gift in the country gets 1.25min pull. Blind Freddy knows that is wrong.

Has the field been pushed forward for mel breen? ??

Looking at the marks compared to last year there is no 'formula' as such to accommmodate Melissa Breen running off scratch. Some athletes are back significantly, some only back marginally, others kept the same mark while a few went forward. In preparing the form guide (to be published soon by the Queanbeyan organisers; and will appear on Protrack later in the week)....must admit, I had trouble working out a few of them.

I missed this result from last week but looks like the Tassie girl is in the right form going into the heats of the Queanbeyan Women's Gift. According to the Launceston report, it was her first gift win.

Launceston 15th Nov 2014
