1 RIP John Paatsch on Mon Mar 31, 2014 4:03 pm

Sad to hear of the passing of former VAL athlete John Paatsch, a former dual distance winner at Stawell. Condolences to all of Johns family and friends.

Phil Noden

Its sad to here of the passing of John, I have memories of following him up the straight at Stawell
in the novice mile in 1990.
He ran 3.57 off 135m. Not a bad run.
After the race he told me that he only started training six weeks earlier after he went on a cruise.
From memory John took the field apart in the 3200 in 1996.
Great character, always in for a chat and always had a smile.
