Fantastic idea coming from the progressive thinkers at Athletics Queensland. They are resurrecting a national 4x100m relay title by offering accommodation to each state team plus $1000 in prizemoney to the winning team. Already ANSW have indicated how serious they are taking this with a formalised a selection policy. Great initiative from AQ.

State Teams 4 x100m Challenge
at the Brisbane Track Classic
Saturday 29th March 2014

From the Athletics Queensland Facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/qldathletics/posts/10152618303164937

NSW are coming to QTC for the 4X100 Challenge

OK QA Speedsters, lets prepare the usual QLD Welcome for NSW teams

And a big call out to other States and Territories, are you coming ?

QA is offering accommodation and ground transport for all official teams.

There's $1000 prize money for each winning team.

All relay athletes will get individual runs in 100 or 200

State V State relays are back - be part of it.

From Athletics NSW

At the Brisbane Track Classic this year NSW will be sending a mens and womens 4x100m team to contest the State 4x100m challenge.
We will be selecting 5 athletes, who will be fully funded for flight and accommodation during the meet.

Selection criteria can be found below:

We want to ask you, the public, who you would pick this season to represent NSW in the state challenge. We've already had interest from London Olympian Tim Leathart, but we want to hear your opinion.

There's a post from Nick Wall indicating there will be Victorian teams entered.
