Matt Carter - 1m - The dominant force in the VAL sprinter ranks, Carter followed up his barnstorming win at Rye with a fantastic performance at Albury. Its another classic, and another chance for him to flex his impressive muscles. Right in this, but some "sudden" improvement from a few others might prevent a win that all the crowd will want to see.

Aaron Bresland - 5m - Bruiser, as he's affectionately known in WA sprinting circles, has slipped under many a radar, but not Mirrorz! Young, fast and improving, even off a tight mark is a massive show for this race. His improvement is rapid, so if not here, watch out for Bruiser in April.

Bryce Teo - 5.75m - After a few seasons of lobbying the VAL, Mirrorz has been able to get a ruling that Bulging Bryce purchase a larger pair of shorts. With his $10,000 prize from Stonnington, you'd hope he's purchased a few pairs. Big run at Stonnington last year not forgotten, Bulging is a big time performer, and another WA invader to keep a close eye on.

Paul Tancredi - 8.5m - Tankers' favourite restaurant closed for three months for renovations over winter, and its no surprise the man came back leaner and meaner than ever earlier this season than most past. Had the week off last week to freshen for this, and just has to be in the finish. Monitor betting.

Ryan Camille - 9.75m - There's no form like winning form, and Fonzy goes into this weekend with a very impressive Don Furness victory to his name. Some solid runs over the 400m this season would suggest some endurance behind the explosive start. Managed by an astute trainer who knows how to peak them, Fonzy could complete a rare Don/Ballarat double.

Noddy Angelakos - 12m - The Golden Greek has been the bridesmaid in a number of gifts this season, but Mirrorz gives him one more chance to walk down the aisle. Has held his peak well after a nail biting result at Maryborough, will the number of races since then have dampened his chances? Like his stablemate, has to be considered.

WA runner

Cole Unasa actually won the Stonnington Gift last year. Teo has been runner up last two years I believe. Perhaps the reason behind the shorts?

Apologies to WA Runner and Cole - old age is catching up with Mirrorz.

Time for mirrorz to retire the keyboard after his age is catching up with him! Didn't snag a finalist and his form guide had false info about buldging Bryce!!
Your tips were like 'throwing a match stick into a volcano!! Smoke!

Mirrorz had a mare on the weekend, so deserved there insider. Two of the six didn't run which didn't help matters

A side bet of a slab of XXXX gold went to the wayside too with a losing bet with Youngy on the result of the women's 100m in Canberra. The other relay runners weren't happy...

Mirrorz to lift for Stonnington.
