If only 3 winners have come from handicaps above 11.5m then it's no massive drama if the limit is pulled in to 12. Also when the winner came off 15.5m in 2002 the limit was lifted due to Lauren Hewitt running.

Rookie

What do we gain from that?

In 2002 when the limit was 17m these are the times of the first 4 placegetters.
13.749
13.796
13.857
13.886

Sponsor would have enjoyed the finish and got bang for bucks, probably would have enjoyed Lauren Hewitt progressing a bit further but close finish made up for it.

Its the 3rd year running this debate has popped up, nice to see more support and facts backing up the limits discussion, in this case to leave things alone. Maybe C.Judd, Rookie and I will take up rolls in the league, power in numbers lol.
Just because only a few front markers have won this event shouldn't deter or prevent them from trying in the future.
Athletes training varies based on age, gender, time etc. if someone can only train 2 days a week this also should not deter or prevent them from competing.

That's funny.

Woah. Easy on the Frontmarker bashing. I'd suggest that most of us Fronties work our asses off for every centimetre we improve, just as most athletes across the sport do.
