Hi Over 35er
Some real class athletes among that lot.
You would have to be pretty happy with some of those names.
How do the numbers stack up 0VER35 compared to other years.

With the number of 200m events in saal and the fact that the athlete had almost a season out of the sport the 2012 TTG 200m winner I think is very lucky to find himself on the same mark

Tips for TTG

200m open..Tronnolone,Cibich,Alex Saliu
200m women..Buckley,Fry,Driscoll
Over 45 200m..Peake,S Turner,Dimitrak
Over 35 550m..Barnett,Miller,Howson
Novice 550m..Wright,Watkins,Jurado
800 women..DeBellis,McHugh,Zuener
800m open..Jelfs,Fallon,Brennan
70m open Cibich,Ryder,Ali Saliu
70m women..McHugh,Trewartha,Jury

Circle Tips

O35's 550m:      Brennan, Miller, Howson
Nov 550m:         Wright, Watkins, Fenton
Women's 800m: DeBellis, Zeuner, McHugh
Men's 800m:      Jelfs, Fallon, Jurado
Open 200m:       Tronnolone, Cibich, Brown
Women's 200m:  Driscoll, Trewartha, Cavouras

So the 2012 winner of the 200 is lucky to still have 12 but the 3rd place getter from the bay and who has been fined for inconsistent performances this season isn't lucky to still have 12 whispers???

Just think Trumpet, that someone who won the 2012 200m off 12 ,then went on to win the Hectorville Gift the same year, does not run for almost a season must be pinching himself to be still on the same mark as 2012.

Just shows the handicapper rewards trying. As it should be in my opinion.

APPEARS the handicapper may be treating the TTG 200m as non penalty starting from 2012.
I have no problems with that at all and there should be more of it at these smaller meetings.
History of winners and penalties is as follows

2006...Camilleri.19....HANDICAP 2007......DNS
2007.....Palmer.......20..HANDICAP 2008......18..-2
2008....McCarthur...20...HANDICAP 2009 .....DNS
2009....Dartnall.....21....HANDICAP 2010......19..-2

As you can see prior to 2012 ,without a doubt there was a nominal penalty of 2 metres.
Since then it has been non penalty for the last two winners.
Terrific for the TTG Club meeting if thats the case and like I mentioned ,should be more of it for these smaller meetings unless ceiling is broken.

We are 30 noms down on last year, the drop comes from the 70m open and the 200m open being down where the women, under 17 and under 20 are up.
It'd b nice to see the home grown favorites on the podium again good luck to JT and RVDL.

Trumpet wrote, Handicapper should reward triers, this should apply to both Junior and Senior Athletes as was the case after Brighton, both Senior winners Male & Female being lifted for the Bay, There are to many non triers before the Bay. To handicap a Junior out of contention for a Blue Ribbon event is wrong and should never happen again!

The season so far is a bit like a Rihanna concert tour, alot of poor performances where apart from a few die hards no one wants to be there at the end!
