Neil Thomas unlucky to go back 0.5 for winning $90.
The video shows he might not win Henley if others are flat chat.

So what you are saying Murph is that he was LUCKY TO WIN and UNLUCKY to GO BACK .5: lol:

Looks like almost half the nominations for the Whyalla Gift will make the Semis. then half the semi runners will make the final.
Im sure theres a couple of runners that will be able to amble through heat and semi without raising a sweat.
Dont be suprised if the Whyalla Gift winner is someone who doesnt run first in either heat or semi.

Handicaps are sometimes very hard to understand ,I know they are different categories BUT

How can Cordoma 8.00m finish in front of Baird 7.00m in the Gift 120m and
How can Baird 3.00m finish in front of Cordoma 8.25 in the Under 20 120m:roll:

At the risk of being accused of being captain obvious, Gift marks have no bearing on U/20 marks.
Two entirely different fields and have to be treated separately. U/20 marks far more dynamic and flexible.

4 correct and some placings. Thought Tohl might wait for the Bay, but after 2 years of injuries, smart move to take Whyalla. Cibich and Hancock ran great.

hey Morph, thanks and well done.

Meanwhile in the world chess champs, after four draws, the young Norwegian challenger Magnus Carlsen has won games 5 and 6.

On the local chess scene, I have entered the Andrew Saint Memorial on December 26th at the Bay. The pro running scene has Stawell at Easter - the chess equivalent is the Doeberl Cup in Canberra where I went as a young lad, surviving hell drives across the Hay Plains. Adelaide lad Andrew Saint had moved to Melbourne and was on his way back to Melbourne from Canberra last Easter when the hired van went off the road. Andrew was killed and the annual Bay chess tournament has been upgraded this year as a tribute. Drive carefully everybody.

Also I have been more active in the local chess inter club matches and I have earned a rating again, just under 1800 - my career best was 2250 and the looking-like-new-world-champ Magnus Carlsen has 2870. (Five hundred points difference means the higher rated player wins every game).

Back to the SAAL - I have entered races in December, including the big one for us oldies, the over35s 120m on the 27th December.

Whispers is pretty happy with his selections as well ,Nailed the winners of 3 out of 4 of the main races.
in his selections when others didnt come close.
Tohl, Openshaw and Fallon, missed out on Robbo in the 1600m though.

Is she trying to mislead people or is she delusional?
Her times would barely even qualify her for U14 nationals, let alone an Olympics.

When I first seen that page I'm thinking 'oh yeah she must be an 11 and 23 runner or low 12s and low 24s'. In reality she's a 13s and 27s runner.

For an average runner she sure got a lot of attitude- "State champs going to dominate!" and all this other egotistical bullshit. Looks like an athlete, acts like a cocky athlete, runs like a sub-par athlete. 'KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE:D!!!'
