Good to see the SAAL have opted to run finals only in some of the 550m races.
First meeting of the season and with only a dozen or so entries in the womens and under 20 550 events you would expect a couple of scratchings so the possiblity was there that there would be some very boring heats where almost all qualified.
By making this decision it helps condense the program up and the racing should be close.AND if the runners all turn up ,how good and how exciting will that be to watch a field of 12 face off in a 550m race.
