1 Whyalla Saturday Nov 16th - New races added on Fri Sep 20, 2013 8:53 am

Hello all,

You may have noticed by now that Port Adelaide, Flinders and Henley carnival nominations are all available online.

Whyalla is also going to be put up soon – with some exciting new races available for the first time this year.

In addition to all the races that were on offer last year, we have added a 70m Open, 300m Under 20 and 800m Under 17 to the carnival this year – to provide more races for those runners who have supported the Whyalla carnival – and to attract more runners to Whyalla who may not yet have made the journey there with the league. I have attached details relating to the King and Queen of the Mountain races that are also going ahead this year – which for those of you who do not know about this race – is a 5km race that locals and our mm.

We would like to encourage all athletes to travel to Whyalla to support a meet that offers great racing and prize money. The Whyalla carnival  offers a great opportunity to get away with your stable mates in the first half of the season.

We are considering hiring a bus to transport athletes/coaches/officials to Whyalla and would like to hear from anyone who would be interested in travelling by bus. We have made enquiries and depending on numbers the cost will be approximately $50 per person. If you have any interest in using this service please contact us by Monday 23rd September 2013.

Kind regards
