I am surprised that no one has mentioned this before today;

Burramine Sports Club is very sad that our long time president, Peter Lawless, has died at the age of 91. Peter was the fourth Lawless brother to preside over the Sports Club, elected in 1967 and resigned in 2001, handing over to his son and our current president, Peter. Peter Snr. made sure the annual Gift Carnival was one of the best in VAL ranks and, like his fearless manner as a Burramine footballer, defied all who wanted to challenge our traditions. Until early, this year, he was a regular golfer and a winner. It is expected that his funeral will be in Yarrawonga at 12.00 noon, on Friday, 6th September.

One of the true believers of our sport, who gave his all for his beloved club and community.

Condolences to all his family

Matthew & Diane Webster
