SPRINT-JUMPS DOUBLES FOR DAFFURN & SCOTT AT INVERARAY

Graeme Scott[TLJT] was the victor in the 90 metres Handicap at Winterton Park, Scott who recently won the top prize of £3000 in the 110m handicap at the inaugural City of Edinburgh Running Festival held off the late thrust from Scottish hurdles champion Allan Scott to win in 9.67 seconds with James Park,TLJT in 3rd.

Tony Daffurn, Kilbarchan stormed through from the scrath mark to win the 200 metres Handicap in 24.01 seconds with Lee Goodfellow,TLJT, Graeme ScoTt,TLJT and Holly Belch, Kilbarchan filling the minor berths.

Also winning from scratch was Allan Scott in the 400 metres Handicap in 52.73 seconds and Michael Deason, Shettleston in the 3200 metres in 9:58.89.

There were 3 different winners of the jumping events, Connell McDonald, Inverness and Tony Daffurn thrilled the crowds as they matched each other in the high jump, it was the younger McDonald who prevailed with a leap of 6' 00''.

Daffurn came out on top in the triple jump with a winning effort of 44' 6.5''.
Tony just failed to land the double when he was pipped in the long jump by a mere 3.5 inches by Allan Scott.
