Stawell Gift - an Arab uprising awaits

1 Mohamed Zeed
2 Khan Marr
3 Asafa Powell

Allahu Akbar

And please buy a kebab today. I have mouths to feed.

Yes the final will read as follows:

RED - asafa Powell- scr
WHITE- josh Ross - 1.00
BLUE - Aaron Stubbs - 5.25
YELLOW - Sam Jamieson - 6
GREEN - Bryce Teo - 7.75
PINK - Simon Jackson - 12

Note - Ross gets half the lift because he has already WON stawell, burnie and bay off scratch and has shown he is in brilliant form and despite him whinging that he wasn't competitive at Albury and received a nice lift at ballarat, he needs to do his time before a lift, it takes every other established athlete 3 acceptable runs for a 0.25cm lift, so even with 1m at stawell he will be highly competitive.

Youve missed the winner, Vicinsider, Im telling you with the Powell lift the race will be run in 12.00 or quicker and the Winner will be from NSW.

VicInsider, I know we are biased as the promoter, however if the Gift final is:

RED - asafa Powell- scr
WHITE- josh Ross - 1.00
BLUE - Aaron Stubbs - 5.25
YELLOW - Sam Jamieson - 6
GREEN - Bryce Teo - 7.75
PINK - Simon Jackson - 12

It will be the greatest final in Stawell history.

The fastest man ever to run at Stawell in Asafa
The best Australian pro runner in history in Ross
The only Australian in win from scratch in Ross
A man in the final looking to create history and win 3 times in Ross
Stubbs and Jamieson looking to win a second gift
Plus a guy on the limit giving everyone something the chase in Jet Jackson.
Add the brain surgeon in Doctor Teo and it has the lot.

It's the ultimate final.

Mr Handicapper, can you please make sure this happens!

Time for a Tasmanian to win and would be so fitting if Ray Quarrell trains this years winner.
