Why are there 47x70m fronties and only 20x70m backies? Shouldn't all entries be taken and then the field split in the middle to make it even?

Could someone also clarify if its a 120m or 100m? The entry form had both 100m and 120m on it while the draft handicaps shown on the results board at Noble Park showed 120m handicaps... now entry list shows 100m. Bit confusing.

I believe it's a 100m, as it has been in the past. I'm pretty sure that the St. B oval isn't large enough to accomodate a 120.
