Can anyone please confirm the conditions of entry for the mile restricted at Stawell?? Is it a novice race, 1st prize of less than x $, age limit??

the way i understand it is you have to have run a restricted/novice? 1600m this season to be able to enter stawell

the rules are simple, i think
(a) Victorian registered athlete
To qualify for the final you must have completed at least one VCCL novice 1600m event. You still have to enter via the normal means for Stawell. The next VCCL events are at Noble park and St Bernard's.
A Victorian athlete, once qualified , is able to win an open event and still be eligible for staell
(b) interstate athlete, you must be a novice ( under Victorian rules). a runner is still eligible if they win an under age event. But ANY novice class win eliminates the runner.
(b) any state championship win in under 18's or above also eliminiates a runner.
