Thought Mirrorz would get in early and say congratulations to Rhys Parkinson on his impressive win at Devonport.

What a start to the season.

Smoke n Mirroz, what are you talking about? That race isn't for another week. Let's not let this forum degenerate into the type of place that was typical of previous online forums. A little more respect for the other runners in the field please.

On another note, congratulations to Sam "furgburger' Furgerson on going back-to-back to claim this year's La Trobe 1600m. It is a sign of the gentlemen that Sam made time coming down the finishing straight to high-five all of the kiddies.

I have to agree with mirrorz! He isn't putting down any of the other runners at all! Parkinson simply will win and be too good off that mark.

Christmas has come early for Shaun Hargreaves. Had 17m when he smashed them in 2009.
Gives his stablemate Parkinson 19m. If they both lined up at Lakeside oval off level pegs in lanes, I would expect Shaun to beat him by more than 20m.
Parkinson looks a nervous type and is yet to proove he can handle the big time, whereas Hargreaves will relish the opportunity and rise to the occasion.
Parkinson has the form and his Zatopek 300m was impresive but I think class will prevail at Dev.
