Shame to see the VAL website looking so out of date (even still has countdown to 2012 Stawell) esp when SAAL, WCAL and even QAL seem quite up to date

I agree wholeheartedly - often don't notice how much people do until they are no longer doing it

have u noticed results for stawell not on val results page

if this takes that long what hope when season starts /i would have thought that race day recorder would automatically enter statistics so that 5minutes after last event it would be available to internet ,lookers .excel page would allow this to happen, all info would be entered when noms close re athletes and marks, and race type, then raceday only results need to be entered , wouldnot take a computor wizz ,even i could do it sunny

Why does everybody who comments be so quick to knock, seems all can do a better Job.
Ever thought the old system may be compromised and a complete new system is being installed or doesn't that suit?

Next time you go to motor reg or a bank or a health fund to sort out an issue and have to wait in a queue, yeah, sure your going to be happy when they tell you it won't be fixed for weeks cos of a new system? No communication JH so how are we suppose to know what's going on? Fees go up and service goes down. A message on the website about changing a to a new system is not too hard is it?

Hopefully the new online entry and registration system will be up and going by start of October.

Typical John Henry sucking up so his athletes will get better handicaps.

Thanks Todd. At least we have an idea now when we can start registering/entering. Meanwhile the VAL must be going well financially cos they don't need out rego fees for cash flow.

Not quick to judge, taken many years to agree with what everyone knows. Learn to coach instead of relying on bigger handicap lifts than the majority of other squads.

That will do Speedy Dude. Please refrain from the personal attacks. While you know who JH is, he doesn't know who you are so casting aspersions is a one way street.

All being well, there will be some updates on the VAL website this week with a working draft of the entry booklet. The new system should still be ready for the first week in October. Hopefully we will be able to give it a test run next week before we roll it out.

I am someone who does not manipulate the system to get a larger handicap. Also you are one to talk about anonymous aspersions Youngy.

By the way SpeedyDude,After having coached under 15 different handicappers in 5 states over the years its kind of you to recognize as to the master i am of manipulating so many people for so long.Your input is so refreshing!

It's hard to take serious/offense to miss-information.

I speak for myself, but I have never gained any benefit in terms of handicap. In fact quite the opposite.

I've lifted SpeedyDude's ban following JH's advice.

This last week I've been suffering a massive toothache and a number of migraines and had a few days off work and yesterday attended my first training session for a week, although I was vomiting earlier in the day and still suffering a massive headache.

This has caused a decline in both my monitoring of this site and my tolerance to stupidity.

An enormous amount of time and effort is devoted to keeping this site going. Johnh Henry among others is a valued contributor to this site of information and results and I can't see the point of allowing anonymous posters to make unsubstantiated aspersions on a totally unrelated thread. It ultimately leads nowhere.

If a member is anonymous he has a massive advantage because he can drag up anything in a 'known person's' history to make any unsubtantiated claim he wants. The' known person' does not have any comparative information on the anonymous person so cannot return serve…..and so ultimately is expected to cop it sweet.

Of the 491 registered members on ProTrack, I reckon over 300 of them are unknown to me. I'm long past the days of worrying about those who choose to be anonymous on this site. Even those who choose to use their own name - many people I don't know who they are because they are either new to the sport or have no affiliation to pro-running but stumbled upon this site, liked what they saw and have decided to join.

I will concede I've been guilty of stupid comments in the past…..but I recognise that some responsibility comes with administering this forum and hopefully they remain in the past.
