is there any major stable changes, and who are the athletes to watch for the 2012-2013 athletics season?

The ELITE athletes from Saints will be the ones to watch.
Saints was one of only three SA Clubs to receive a Grant from the Club One Grant Funding Initiative.
They received their funding for Equipment for plyometric strength and conditioning training.
So with this extra equipment what show has any one else got.
All someone needs to tell them now though is that you actually got to compete to win.

I'm assuming the capitalisation of the word 'elite' is to add a touch of sarcasm.

Otherwise you might need to redefine the meaning of elite. Because by any measure of the term in its purest form there are no elite level athletes at Saints.

Was at the local footy on Saturday, heard that Aaron Harro has got a few chicks in his stable. One is Hayley Openshaw. Hayles has been with beach sprint coaches atGlenelg and Brighton.
The other is an amateur chick called Orman I've never heard of.
Got another use to run at flinders called hardy?

The past Bay Sheff winner will need more than good luck. He will need a miracle to be competitive again. His knee injury was a bad one. .

As I said, hillbilly, he's SCOTT no chance of being as good as he was, because of the knee injury.

Have heard Jake JB is training well, but JJB does his running with ASA now days. I think he's self coached. he trains with different squads when it suits.

Now all the craps out of the way , is there any word of any of the other Stables being able to challenge the juggernaut of McKinnon or are they going to go BACK TO BACK TO BACK TO BACK.
Spies tell me that 1600m open and 550m under 20 look like falling to the McKinnon crew.Expect those that have boundary umpired to be the early performers.

Be a real sad state of affairs if we were all like Birdman and only turned up to run at the Main ones.
Interesting to note that you dont rate Whyalla.Shame about that.
You will find that McKinnons success is not only the size of the squad but the fact that they are prepared to support all meetings even if it means traveling.
Its obvious that Birdman has already conceded

I'm with birdman. No one cares about the club of the year except a few mckinnon runners. Prorunning is all about individuals making the most of their chances. Best Stables are the groups with quality backmarkers featuring in the biggies. McKinnon parade have 40 athletes but not too many backies. If 10 runners miss a meet they still have 30 other front markers to get some cheap wins and get their club award. McKinnon will win club of the year again because no one else gives a shit.

MORPHY.....Just because you are a Front marker ,doesnt mean its a cheap win.
Tell Youngy his win off a front mark in the Stawell Gift was cheap.
Anyway who do you think is the stable who makes the most of their chances like you say.I know of a lot who dont, backmarker or not.

Sorry Morphy ,cant let this one go by !
Three winners winning in RED at the Port.
One of those winning off SCRATCH (doesnt happen very often)
So much for CHEAP wins.
May I suggest that you get yourself off to the doctors as you have a very bad case of Foot in mouth disease.

Noticed that 4 boundary umps won yesterday.Always very hard to beat early in the season.
By the way ,looks like my SPIES were right, FIRST,SECOND,THIRD and FOURTH in both the 550m under 20 and 1600m open for the McKinnon boys.

I'd give it a rest Whispers. Fortunately everyone else at McKinnon Parade lets their running do the talking and don't resort to big noting on the forum.

Bagging another contributor and gloating about the results from the weekend is not a good look.

McKinnon Parade has a massive squad - far greater than the average so these results are going to happen. Every squad of a decent size enjoys this type of success at some stage - that's the nature of a sport where people compete off handicaps.

Keep it positive. There's a long way to go......

Take your point ,but I was only reacting to the Morphy remark of McKinnon being full of frontmarkers who take cheap wins.
