Huge first meet for the Diamond League with many world leading times and a slew of meet records smashed. Some good aussie performances from the night too. As a quick wrapup: Pamela Jelimo is back as a threat in the women's 800m and really gives everyone something to think about in August, could also be a factor for a world record if she regains old form. Justin Gatlin back after a drug ban and just edges out Powell in the 100m, close race overall. Rudisha did what he does best and runs a world leading time 1:43.1, misses out on his own meet record of 1.43.00 though. Carried through the rest of the field to some fast times. Allysson Felix shows amazing form in the 100m giving herself extra options for which double she is going to tackle at the Olympics; 100/200 or 200/400. Lashawn Merritt ran a fast world leading time without much challenge from the field. Highlight of the night would have to be the men's 1500m where Kiplagat and Kiprop battled it out to the last 100m where Kiprop was tripped/shoved and might've been cost the race. 3:29's in May are unheard of though and fancy running a 3:33 and being the 7th person across the line from your country, Kenyan's were a dominating force in the distance events that night. Gregson posted a solid time well under A qualifying standard.
