Athletics WA Friday Night Pro series during the Strive Track & Field season at WA Athletics Stadium.

In a tremendous show of support Athletics WA have initially agreed to showcase a Friday night professional series to be held by the West Coast Athletic League at the WA Athletics Stadium.

The proposed 70m, 120m, 200m, 400m & 1 mile handicapped races will be open to all AWA (or affiliated state) members with each individual race to be spread over the 2012/13 Strive Track & Field season.

This is welcome news for the WA professional scene as it will add another event to the local calendar. Runners can make use of the extremely fast track and ideal conditions a Perth summer has to offer. Further details and sponsorship agreements are yet to be finalised.
