Interesting convo on the weekend at Daylesford about an athlete who has designs on the Stawell Gift but his coach is pissed off cos the runner won't stick to the plan. Could be a big fall-out come Easter Monday if the runner misses the final cos he hadn't stuck to the plan.Should listen to the coach. Can't go in underdone in a Stawell Gift.

Coach wants him to let the handbrake off but he wants to keep it on for a little longer?

Elementary my dear Mr ABCshots.
Seems the Gift goer is now having 2nd thoughts after not doing what he was asked to do. Coach is frustrated. Thinks that his charge's "window" is closing fast!
