NOMINATIONS FOR THE ADELAIDE TRACK CLASSIC CLOSE ON JANUARY 8, 2012

All athletes wishing to be considered for selection in one or more of the Australian Athletics Tour and National series meets should complete the online nomination form before the relevant closing date(s).

The events to be conducted in Adelaide are listed below:

Men: 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres, 1500 metres, 3000m steeple,Pole Vault, Discus, Hammer.

Women: 100 metres, 200 metres, 800 metres, 5000m, High Jump, Pole Vault, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Discus, Javelin

As a general guide, athletes should be able to perform at a minimum standard capable of national qualification (please refer to the 2011-2012 Australian championship entry standards here).

Australian athletes must be current financial members of an athletics club and registered with the relevant state association affiliated with Athletics Australia.

Athletes should only nominate for meets and events they intend to compete in, if selected. Athletes should nominate for all meets they wish to be considered for.

Please note: once you have submitted your nomination, it is not necessary to advise of any new personal bests or recent performances, as Athletics Australia will keep track of results throughout the season.

Athletes not on the Athletics Australia travel funding list will be responsible for their own travel, accommodation costs and arrangements.

Please note this list is subject to change and is based on a set criteria. More information can be found on the Athletics Australia website here or by contacting Athletics Australia.

When submitting your nomination please ensure you click 'Submit Entry', as we will not receive your nomination if you do not click this button. It is not neccesary to enter more than once.

Selected athletes will be advised as soon as possible after selection via email or, if required, by phone. Entry lists will be posted on the Athletics Australia website and communicated via the Athletics Australia results and technical information email service. Therefore, as part of the entry process, all athletes and coaches should ensure they have subscribed, or have access to this email service - to subscribe, visit the Athletics Australia website and fill in the ‘subscribe’ section, which is located on the left hand side of the homepage half way down the page.
