Athletic Club unveils new look Gift glasses

Stawell Times
13 Dec, 2011

STAWELL - Stawell Athletic Club has unveiled its new range of commemorative drinking glasses.

Featuring runners, Stawell Athletic Club logo and name of the Australia Post Stawell Gift event, the glasses come in three different types - wine tasters, champagne flutes and hi-ball tumblers.

Stawell Athletic Club is in its third year of sponsorship with Grampians Estate winery, and packages of wine with the new glasses are now available in time for Christmas.

Chardonnay, Riesling and red wines are also available to purchase separately from the club.

Brian Barber, convener of the Stawell Athletic Club committee, said the idea of selling Stawell Gift glasses took a while to come together as it needed to be approved by the event's major sponsor, Australia Post.

Barber is pleased with the new souvenir additions.

"Now we've got glasses to complement the Grampians Estate wine selection," he said.

"Plus the design of the glasses is all about the club."

People can also purchase bottles of wines and glasses to make up their own baskets for gifts.

Prices for the new glasses start at $5.50 and are available at the Stawell Gift Hall of Fame located next to the Stawell Information Centre.

Anyone wishing to purchase the glasses can drop in to see Robin and the girls.

Stawell Gift Hall of Fame is open everyday from 9am-5pm.

Entry fee is $5.
