Club officials of MVP track club, have denied that Athens Olympics relay gold medalist, Sherone Simpson, has departed their club and joined their Kingston counterparts, Racers.

According to information reaching Trackalerts.com, Simpson, who is presently off the island, has decided to leave the MVP group because she is not comfortable with certain things.

However, when contacted, MVP's Club President Bruce James, said he is not aware that Simpson is leaving the UTech based track club.

"As of today Sherone is a member in good standing with the MVP Track & Field Club," was James' answer.

Racers is being coached by Glen Mills, who also conditioned Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake, Jermaine Gonzales, Daniel Bailey, Marvin Anderson, and Ricardo Chambers while MVP has Stephen Francis as its coach and Asafa Powell, Shelly-Ann Fraser, Melaine Walker, Brigitte Foster-Hylton, Michael Frater, Kaliese Spencer, Shericka Williams, Anneisha McLaughlin, Nesta Carter and Carrie Russell as their big names.

Simpson, who first got international attention when she teamed up with Kerron Stewart, Anneisha Mclaughlin and Simone Facey to carry Jamaica to gold at the 2002 World Juniors in Kingston, has had huge success in athletics, at the international level.

She along with Tayna Lawrence, Aleen Bailey and Veronica Campbell-Brown, carried Jamaica to the 4x100m gold at the Athens Olympics.

At the Beijing Olympics in 2008, Simpson was joint silver medalist in the women's 100m, behind winner Shelly-Ann Fraser.
