Youngy what polls will be up for Henley?
A massive number of gift entries but the 300m looks a little light on!
Good to see everyone supporting meets with the little prize money!

Is the gift going to be 6 heats of 7 and winners through or are we actually going to have semis?

Polls will probably be for the 120m Gift, 120m Women & one other - maybe the Under 20's 300m or 800m Open.

Suggestions would be welcome. Idea

I agree i think the 300m U20 would be a good race.
maybe the women 300 and the Open gift?

;)

I see Alex Bubner has entered. It would be good to see him run again.

800M UNDER 14 ?
Contains most of the athletes that ran in the 70m under 14 at Flinders.
I think if encouraging the under 14s ,perhaps a under 14 300m would be more suitable.

Low numbers in the 800 open again. Any thoughts why?

9 over45 battle begins at Henley on 11/11/11 on Sat Nov 05, 2011 10:31 pm

There are quite a few contenders for the season's first over45 event.

Mick Abbott
After his gutsy frontmarker run in the Flinders 800m, plus good finishes in the Flinders 200m, Mick is showing both the fitness and the form needed.

Alex Jefferies
The scottish tiger from Team Townley is hungry for his first SAAL sash, with confidence after placing 4th at Flinders in the 200m.

John Turner
With a sash at Port Adelaide and a podium at Flinders, John has the speed but maybe not the endurance for the 300m.

Ross Hill-Brown
The Hyphenator has two podium places already this year from the Port Adelaide 120m and the Flinders 200m, both close behind John Turner ... Ross is a strong 400m runner, so expect him to do well at Henley.

Ali Saliu
Like a lightning bolt that could strike any time, the legend that is Ali Saliu, the winner of the Loxton open 300m nine months ago, looking the goods but facing challenging handicaps after many wins last season - on a good day Ali Saliu is always capable of winning from the back mark in the over45s.

Bob Samarcq
Bob is running well and is a definite chance for another Team Townley representative in the final.

Brett Stokes
Modesty might modify my message a minuscule amount, let's just say that I am quietly confident ... I want to win at Henley, repeating my first ever SAAL win at Reynella one year ago. I know a lot of other people want to win and I know that all the above (and more) have reason to feel they have a chance to win.

By the full moon light on Friday night
We will see who will be
Number one on 11/11/11
at Henley by the sea

my prediction =
Team Townley trifecta total triumph

1- Brett Stokes
2- Alex Jefferies
3- Bob Samarcq
