TABCORP Series Form Guide
for Friday night 4th November

1040m FINAL

RED - ERIC SAPAC 50m 11/4
Promising young runner who disappointed last season following a spectacular 2009/10 were he won 6 races. Ran home well for 4th in last two starts and should be cherry ripe for this. Big danger

WHITE - COREY LAWSON 55m 3-1
Former athlete of the year who will have no problem with the distance if fit. Failed to fire a shot in last years final when heavily supported. Will be looking to make amends this year – watch.

BLUE - MARK ANDREWS 60m 5-1
Another former athlete of the year and stable mate of Lawson. Class middle distance runner who seems to struggling. Would take a major form reversal to win this, prefer to wait.

YELLOW - DANIEL LAWLOR 75m 6/4
Strong winner in series one and ran a controlled race to finish in the placings last week. Young, strong and fit runner who will give this a huge go.

GREEN - MITCH HANNAN 75m 6/4
The previously unknown 17 year old made his VAL debut last week and stormed home to win impressively in heavy conditions. Winning form is good form and deserves equal favoritism with Lawlor.

PINK - GREG HILSON 90m 9/4
Veteran runner who has thrived under a new coach. Won a stack of races in the VAL last season and backed up with a solid cross country form this winter. Series two winner who again ran well last week finishing amongst the top three: will be right in the finish

BLACK - JACOB REED 105m 9-2
Finalist last year who been thereabouts this series without really threatening. Should enjoy a good run throughout the race and not without a chance.

GREY - GORDON MUIR 115m 3-1
Classy veteran runner who has the form and class to win this. Looks to have improved with each run this series and has a decent mark. Don’t dismiss.

YELLOW - TOM HECIMOVIC 140m 7-2
Blitzed his rivals in a surprise win in last year’s inaugural final. Another veteran runner who won’t be short on confidence facing a much tougher field this year, each way.

PURPLE - REBECCA CATO 210m 8-1
Has given the boys something to chase this series and will again be hard to run down off her mark. Each way.

PAUL FRUSHER 215m 7-1
Ran a much improved race last week to battle for a respectable 6th place in heavy conditions. Will be challenging Cato for the lead early and could give a bit of cheek.

400m FINAL

RED - MATT HARGREAVES 2m 7/4
Won last years final with a barnstorming run down the outside. One of the best performed 400m pro runners in Australia who will give this a mighty shake off his tough mark.

WHITE - SHAUN HARGREAVES 5m 6/4
Was a hot tip in last year’s final before breaking down with an injured calf. Scored a brilliant win in last years Movember Gift (550m) and would love to knock off his brothers in Friday’s final. Big chance.

BLUE - DOM HOSKINS 9m 2-1
Came from a long way back to win series two with his renowned gut running and fast finishes. If anyone can challenge the might of the Hargraeves brothers its this guy, win would not surprise.

YELLOW - CHRIS HARGREAVES 16m 5/4
Middle of the three Hargreaves who has showed that he hasn’t missed out on the family genes. Made the Stawell gift semi-final this year and looks to have come back bigger and stronger. Marks and form suggest that he looks the pick of the 3 brothers.

GREEN - CLINTON GRAY 28m 8-1
Has been thereabouts this season and would be in the thick of it as the field straightens up. Place chance at best.

PINK - RHYS PARKINSON 30m 6-1
Ran second to Matt Hargreaves in last years final after looking the winner halfway down the straight. Form not quite as impressive this season so far and looks to be up against it.

BLACK - PAUL KEATING 33m 10-1
Ran a placing in the mid year 400m final at Tabcorp Park back in July. Has shown nothing to suggest that he is a genuine chance in Fridays’ final. Place at best.

GREY - DAVID WOODS 35m 5-1
The flying thespian showed his class with an authoritative win in series one. Ultra consistent middle distance runner who be cheered on by his mini balmy arm cheer squad. Good each way chance.

ORANGE TARRYN FISHER 73m 7-2
Surged to the front early last week in a game front running display scoring a narrow victory over the boys. Will be in it for a long way – watch.

PURPLE - DENNIS HUGHES 80m 9-1
Veteran runner who seems more suited to the 300m. Will struggle to run out the distance.

EMERG NOEL MAGHAMEZ Mark TBA 8-1
Whispers today of a late scratching suggest that Maghamez may take the field. Another veteran who seems more suited to the 300m.

Odds aren't that enticing.

In the 1040m the 'bookie' is betting at a whopping 268.1%.

168.1% represents the bookie's potential profit if he accepts bets in the exact proportions required. Thus, in an ideal situation, if the bookmaker accepts $268.10 in bets at his own quoted odds in the correct proportion, he will pay out only $100(including returned stakes) no matter what the actual outcome of the race.

Not much better in the 400m where the bookie is betting at 238.8%.

Anyone get the 11/1 Frusher? The bolter got up. What happened to the faves in the 1040, Lawlor & Hilson??? 7/2 turned out to be good value for Dom Hoskins.
