Following in the footsteps of pugilists like Frank Ropis & Shane Rank from the 80's and more recently Benjamin Vickery who mixed some pro-running with boxing, Daniel Khobyar, a winner over 400m at the VAL's Tabcorp winter series will make his boxing debut at an amaeur boxing card this Sunday afternoon.

Anyone interested in getting a long to see Daniel in action, the details are as follows:

  • Venue: Brunswick Calabria Club on Brunswick Rd

  • Date: Sunday 6th November 2011

  • Time: 1pm

  • - Daniel will be on approx 30mins after start time

  • Tickets cost $25 purchased on the door.

By the way Daniel trains with the Mark Howard and Eric Sapac squad which recently rebadged itself as "Running Coach Melbourne".

The RCM website looks pretty slick and is worth having a look:

Congratulations to Daniel in winning his first fight on the weekend.

He won the bout comfortably. 4 points to 1.

Hope to see him run at Dandenong at the weekend!
