Looking at the marks in the 70m some seem a little strange.

  • Gross gives Dartnall a start in the 70m, yet its reversed in the gift quite significantly.
Grimwade has to give old man Saliu a start in the 70m, yet in the gift the gap is almost 3m
Tronnolone has to give Richards a start in the 70m, yet Richards gives him over 1m in the gift.

I'm sure there is more and I know people run differently over diferent distances and have won stuff over other distances, but shouldn't your mark come back in a 70m if you've won stuff up to 299m. There is a lot of other runners that haven't won much in recent years that seem to be forgoton. Surely this is the sort of meet that the handicapper can wack a few people up the track just for this meet in order to give them a fighting chance and perhaps experience their first open final. Just my thoughts. I'm sure most people wouldn't mind seeing different people make a final. It keeps the sport turning over.

Also why no R.James in the 70m? Must be saving himself for the 200m Wink
