From the VAL Office

2011 Movember Gift Cancellation

Dear Athletes and Trainers,
Due to circumstances out of our control, the 2011 Movember Gift Committee has beenforced to cancel the running of this seasons Movember gift.

While we are disappointed that our months of planning and hard work have resulted in this outcome, the event will be back next season.

We wish you all the best for the 2011/2012 season.

Kind regards,
Brad Armstrong
Hippo Athletic Club – Event Director

The info below was emailed to Protrack.

"Before all the rumours start, the reason for the cancellation is the committee could not find a suitable ground in the city for the event."

What do you mean by this? Any club that organises an event spend a considerable amount of time doing so. It is a shame if any meet is lost, even if it is just for a season (Ararat style). 550m is not my event, but having some different distance 'gifts' is a good idea IMO.
