I grew up in Ballarat Victoria, I now live in Toowoomba Queensland.

■ Australian 100m Senior Champion (1986)

■ Australian 100m Junior Champion (1980, 1981, 1982)

■ Olympic Games (1984, 1988 withdrew due to injury)

■ Commonwealth Games (1982 and 1986) at 19yrs old ran 10.18 to finish 9th in the Final of the 100m in 1982

■ Rep at Oceania Championships

■ World Cup Team (1981, 1985) 7th in 100m and 8th in 4x100m

■ World Championships Team (1983, Selected 1987 but withdrew due to injury)

■ 4th in 100m and 2nd in 4x100m at Pacific Conference Games (1981)

Keep it simple, believe in yourself, know your athlete, learn from failed attempts as they help to create the finished product…LEARN, LEARN, LEARN


What have been your coaching highlights so far?

■ Coached 4 National Champions in sprints (100m, 200m and 400m) ages ranging from U/18-U/20

■ Coached a National U/18 800m Champion

■ Coached the 2007 Stawell Gift Winner (From the Back Mark)

■ National Sprints and Relay coach 2004

■ Coached a 28yr old mother of 2 with PB of 12.43 to place 6th in Open National Final in 11.73

■ Coach to 2011 National 100m and 200m Medallist

■ Coach to Member of National Women’s 4x100m team to contest 2011 World Championships

What do you think that your strengths are?

I Love the sport of athletics and everything it has to offer. I listen, I watch, I study and I love to learn. I have belief in myself, my methods and my athletes. I surround myself with people who are experts in their field and I think outside the square. I love a challenge and I love to be challenged.


Do you have any weaknesses?

Weakness is something that others find in you. I have them in all aspects of my life, But, you can make them your strength if you learn from them.

Word is that CVV has left Keating after what she feels was a devo world champs. Got a look at what the elite athletes were doing and weighed it up with her own prep and thinks it was found wanting.
