Steel and Kennedy are planning to marry & got some kids to look after, so runnins not their number one priority. dont expect much from them, specialy now trainin with adistance coach.

So Norgs ,what you are saying is that Steele is going to run dead for a season by training with a distance coach then have a crack at the Bay 2012.
Good plan ,too bad you let the cat out of the bag.

G'day 2012

Please refrain from accusations of running 'dead'.

I don't think "Norgs" in any way suggested that was the intent of the athlete.

C'mon Youngy. Get with the program. Obviously Steele is only getting married to provide some serious backstory to his season running dead. Gotta admit, it's a decent commitment to a 2012 Bay attempt!

Many of their training sessions are broken into different groups and they have different start times with some of the later groups stating their warm up as the others are finishing, allowing plenty of opportunity to focus on individual aspects. Very well managed with lots of variation to mix up the training partners now and then.

Alex Sailu changed coach a number of times last year to the point where he then trained him self, Youngy and Butler would be his best options i really think this kid can run but without the right guidance he will turn in to another big fish in a small pond

Too Good

Agree with Twisted, Alex needs a strong guy in charge. The sport needs Alex Saliu to realise his potential. Far too good to be just a 48 400m guy or making up numbers in finals off 7. Should be in the 46s and win a big Gift with right guy in control.

Cmon Youngy silence is golden.
Word around the traps, its amazing what you learn on Sat nights is that you have a lad who plays football for Kilburn and who has had just as many coaches as Nitta fronting up for your squad this season.
Getting out to a pretty handy handicap as well.

Delayed start this morning due to car trouble (found out what a harmonic balancer does. Evil or Very Mad ) ....pretty convenient for me too, with the Packers playing the Chicago Bears live on One HD earlier today.

So I haven't had a chance to catch up with the latest on Protrack, until now.

Having just joined and the fact he hasn't run for two years, the Kilburn footballer's a long way from the condition where he could do any damage. Even when he last ran he was a long way off the pace. LTP athlete.

Who is the Kilburn footy player? Has he run before?

He's in good hands with Youngy, whoever he is.

12.71 off 7.75m Bay Sheff semi 2009
A few runs before Bay 2011, an extra 1/4 m ,a tidy up of technique and starts and BANG.
Surely he can be looking that bad at the end of a footy season

Morphy - we're talking about Tom Sclanders.

He was beaten by over 4m in the semi in 2009 by the guy who ran last in the final. Statistically he was about 6m out of the race, after a substantial prep under Idika Uduma. Of the 30 qualifiers for the 2009 Bay Sheff semis he was the third slowest (12.88), only in front of veterans Brendan Ramsay (13.03) & Shane McKenzie (13.03). He is coming from a long way back, so any expectations on him are fanciful.

By the way his last two entries were Camden & Loxton 2010 where he had 8.00m (scratched both times). Given there's been no wins or PB's since, that should be his starting mark.

Thanks Youngy.
Sclanders has a bad rep for not doin the work. Only hope he listens to his coach cos this mite be his last chance.

Im not too sure bout Sclanders!! Looked like abit of a goose last year when he talked himself up before the Bay!! You would presume hed have a better prep this year round if he does train. Still more people around his mark thatd have a better chance.

Now I dont know about you guys but im bloody excited about the start of this season!! Alot of major talking points to look forward to.

1) = How will Caldow go after wins at the Bay and Stawell? Bay Sheffield Hangover?

2) = Alex Saliu, potential to do something huge this year, early Bay tip??

3) = How will YGTS back up after a rather lacklustre season by there standards?? No Buckley, and with Boden interstate, will they bounce back??

4) = Clay Watkins, hopefully injury free and ready to rock and roll this season, can we see him back to his best and challenging for National recognition?

5) = Heard Koschade has himself a new coach, can he rediscover his form of a few years back??

6) = And last of all, where is the next Jordan Caldow! He set the standard with his scorching run at Port Adelaide last year, and it was then when he launched himself into Bay favouritism! Are we gonna see the same thing from someone this year?

Get excited people!!

i heard sclanders was training twice daily with idika and 6 weeks before the bay in his last year did a hammy, so had no prep for the race that year and yet still ran at the bay and flew over to burnie to race over there, pretty good effort if you ask me, lets see how the young lad shapes up this year!
